Drs Juliane Bendig and Darren Turner from the Terraluma team recently attended the bi-annual conference on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Geomatics, hosted by the University of Bonn, Germany (http://uavg17.ipb.uni-bonn.de/). Situated on the banks of the Rhine river, the historic city of Bonn was a pleasant location for the conference. It included a dinner cruise on the Rhine, which presented an excellent opportunity to mingle with European UAV researchers. Juliane and Darren also took the opportunity, whilst in Germany, to visit Professor Georg Bareth at the University of Cologne to discuss future collaboration and even go on a short field trip, followed by dinner and plenty of Kölsch beers at a traditional German Pub.
