Terraluma members Arko Lucieer, Darren Turner, Stephen Harwin, Deepak Gautam, and Saroj Sharma recently completed a two-day field campaign to stress test the LiDAR rig. It flew eight flights in some quite tricky weather flawlessly. We flew over a near to harvest pine plantation (onwed by Timberlands Pacific) with the aim of getting a high-density point cloud to extract tree stem metrics. Now there is plenty of data to process and analyse.
The campaign is part of a project sponsored by Forest and Wood Products Australia Limited (FWPA).
